Using This Site

You may read, print and share anything on this site for your own non-commercial use. You may not republish it as your own, scrape it wholesale, or use it to train a competitor's marketing copy. The words, layout and images here are ours.

Estimates and Quotes

Nothing on this website is a quote or an offer to contract. Prices shown in our guides are typical market figures published to help you understand the market, and your roof is not a typical roof. A real quote follows a physical inspection, is issued in writing, is itemised, and holds for thirty days from issue unless it says otherwise on its face.

Estimates are subject to what we find once a roof is opened up. Where decking replacement may be needed we state a per-sheet rate on the estimate in advance, so any variation is at a rate you already agreed rather than a number produced on the day.

Accuracy of Information

We take real care with the code, licensing, legal and cost information on this site, and we cite the public sources so you can check it. Codes, statutes, permit requirements and prices all change. Nothing here is legal advice, insurance advice or a substitute for reading the current published requirements or speaking to the relevant authority. Verify anything you intend to rely on.

Where we describe Illinois law on insurance claims, public adjusting or deductibles, that is a plain summary for general information. If you need advice on your specific claim, speak to a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.

We link to a small number of government and regulatory sites because they are the primary sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Warranties on Work

Warranty terms for any work we carry out are set out in your written contract and in the relevant manufacturer's documentation. Nothing on this website extends, varies or replaces those terms.

This website is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it or from reliance on general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
